A German garage psych band from the 80's, named after a play written by Heinrich von Kleist.
In 1985, they recorded this 5-songs EP, their first record, on a 4-Track tape, so the sound has a raw edge.

Nati sulle ceneri dei Blackberry Jug, i Broken Jug, tedeschi di Bamberg, sembra che in effetti abbiano semplicemente cambiato nome rispetto alla precedente esperienza. Tre membri dei Blackberry Jug fondarono il gruppo, Christine (organo), Jimmy (basso) e Blacky (batteria), ma in seguito si unì a loro anche il chitarrista della band precedente, Peter. Broken Jug esordirono nel 1985 con l'EP "Grand junction", pubblicato dalla Glitterhouse, l'etichetta che licenziò anche il primo album "William" (1986) e li ospitò nella compilation Declaration of fuzz. "Burning down the Neighbourhood" fu il seguito del 1987 e dopo un silenzio discografico di un decennio, nel 1996 il gruppo tornò con "Fling thing", album autoprodotto e pubblicato da una propria etichetta omonima, Broken Jug (e stampato in sole 900 copie in vinile).
